Identity and purity is confirmed by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immuno-diffusion (Ouchterlony). Not less than 98 % as determined by agar-gel electrophoresis, quantitative densitometry immunoelectro-phoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony). This IgA1 consists of polymers and will contain J chain. The product contains a trace of non-Ig protein.
